How to Become a Student Athlete
Student athletes must complete the following items before they are eligible to participate in sports at BBHS:
- Valid Physical
- Please take the BBHS Student Physical Form to your doctor. Both sides of the physical form must be completely filled out and signed by your doctor and parent/guardian (don’t forget to provide your insurance information).
- Physicals must be valid for the current school year for a student athlete to be considered eligible to participate in sports.
- Athlete Check
- Once the BBHS Student Physical Form is complete, please go online and complete the Athlete Check part of the athlete clearance process. If Athlete Check is not submitted, your student athlete will not be eligible to participate until it is done. Please follow these simple steps to complete the Athlete Check process:
- Go to BBHS Athlete Check website: Athlete Check
- Click “Get Started”
- Either log into an existing account or create a new account
- Follow all prompts and fill in all fields
- Make sure you hit “Submit” to finalize the process.
- Insurance
- Parent/guardian insurance information must be completed on the BBHS Student Physical Form and provided during the Athlete Check process.
- Supplemental Insurance can be purchased if it is needed.
- OLR
- Please make sure you have completed the Online Registration process.
- Academic Eligibility
- Athletes are required to have a 2.0 academic GPA to be eligible for sports.
